[Uwh-announce] 2023 Nationals - very soon to start!

Hi All,



As many of you will be well aware, the 2023 Australian National Underwater Hockey Championships kick off in Bunbury (WA) this Monday, 16th Jan.



Tassie has three teams competing at these championships: our Womens Elite team (coached by Tori Wickham) and two Under 15s teams (coached by Nathan Whelan). Team details are given below.

Our U15s teams have the privilege of playing against each other in one of the two first games of the comp, at the delightful time of 7.30am on Tuesday morning! And our Womens Elite team play their first game shortly thereafter at 8.15am.



As Tasmania had insufficient players to make up an U19s team, Grace Wells and Sam Tracey will be playing with the Victorian U19s team, and will be doing TUHA proud by doing so •.



We wish all the TUHA players, Coaches, and Teams Manager, Sharon Williams, the very best of success and hope that it’s a very enjoyable comp for All.



President Chris, who will be over in Bunbury supporting the teams and also helping out with some reffing, has kindly agreed to provide occasional, summary match reports during the week.



AND LOOK OUT! There could well be a story on Tassie’s participation in these Nationals on Channel 7 News this evening, or if not tonight, tomorrow night.
