[Uwh-announce] Reminder on set-up/pack-up duties

Hello All,
It’s time to remind all of us that, contrary to popular belief, TUHA Committee members are not the designated “Set Up and Pack Up Persons” on Wednesday nights. Every week the roster (example - see below) notes a designated Team to setup and the Grade who are on packup duty.

It is the responsibility of the team Captains and members of those teams to ensure this is done.
Please note: "S/up" on the roster is short for "Set up" and is not a weekly salutation. (as in, ‘sup homies')

Tasks include wheeling out from under the stands, at the start, and back under, at the end, the following
• the time clock trolley – just needs to be wheeled down to end of the pool near the changerooms;
• the equipment cage and wheelie bins full of gear;
• the grey trolley with bolts, and connectors, etc.;
• the score stands;
• the big trolley with goals and walls.

The big trolley is stored outside behind the dive pool and requires at least 3 people to bring it in and out (and also requires being accompanied by an Aquatic Centre staff member – the Centre’s rule).

At the end of the night, the three court buzzers should be handed in to Afra, our Desk Officer, for safe storage.

Mostly, we all pitch in and everything comes together very quickly but every now and then we get a bit slack.  I have highlighted the weekly team duties above because it may be your team which loses points when setup and pack up are not done.
We have quite a few new players who don’t know where everything is and how it goes together but I’m sure, if the old hands show them where and how, they will be more than willing to help.
