Tasmanian Underwater Hockey Association would like to remember Bridget Payne who passed away recently. Bridget was a part of the TUHA underwater hockey family for many years, initially through supporting her daughter Claudia in the Schools and pennant competitions, and then by her involvement with the Tasmanian Juniors in New Zealand and Australian Nationals competitions as a Chaperone and also as Manager. Those who were fortunate enough to be on these trips will remember the laminated run sheets for each day which greatly assisted in wrangling the Juniors through the competition. Bridget served as Secretary on the TUHA Committee for several years and TUHA benefited greatly from her administrative skills and experience.  Bridget also put her remarkable organisational skills into play whilst being the Volunteer Co-ordinator for the 2017 Junior World Underwater Hockey Championships in Hobart. As anyone who has been involved in this level of competition will attest to, this required an enormous amount of time and energy to achieve the success of the competition.
The thoughts and condolences of Tasmanian Underwater Hockey Association are with Claudia and her grandparents, Dennis and Julie.
