[Uwh-announce] Another call-out for Volunteers for the Nationals

Hi All,

This is another loud call-out for volunteers to help at the upcoming Nationals here in Hobart during 3rd – 6thApril. Many thanks to those who have already volunteered!  However, we need many more from the TUHA community to ‘step forward’ for us to be able to put on a successful event. So please, pretty please……If you can spare some time, even for one shift (see list below) during that period, please let me know (craigo.proctor at gmail.com<mailto:craigo.proctor at gmail.com>). You can also ‘sign up’ at the pool next Wednesday, at the pool desk. I’ll be there with my “WE NEED YOU” hat on •

Family members and/or friends are very welcome as volunteers, but they must be 15 years or older.

The volunteer jobs for the Nationals include:

•      Set-up and Pack-up (before and after the comp);

•      Door entry person, including COVID registration;

•      Time keeping/scoring assistants;

•      Camera room/streaming assistants;

•      Office assistants.

The games program is still being finalised, but at this stage the suggested volunteer shifts are as follows (and yes, the overlaps in times between shifts are intentional):

Day 1   (Sat 3rd April) 1100 - 1415 (includes Opening Ceremony)

Day 1  (Sat 3rd April) 1400 - 1625

Day 1  (Sat 3rd April) 1615 - 1845

Day 2   (Sun 4th April)  0800 - 1040

Day 2   (Sun 4th April) 1030 - 1245

Day 2  (Sun 4th April) 1400  - 1630

Day 2  (Sun 4th April) 1615 - 1840

Day 3    (Mon 5th April)  0800 - 1040

Day 3    (Mon 5th April)  1030 - 1330

Day 3    (Mon 5th April)  1445 - 1715

Day 3    (Mon 5th April)  1700 - 1900

Day 4    (Tues 6th April)  0800 - 1045

Day 4    (Tues 6th April)  1030 - 1340

Day 4    (Tues 6th April)   1340 - 1530  (Pack-up)
