[Uwh-announce] Exiting the Aquatic Centre in a timely manner

Hi All,

We have received another notification from the Hobart Aquatic Centre (DKHAC) management, expressing concern over how long it has taken some of our members to exit the Centre on Wednesday nights (and also on Monday nights).

The DKHAC staff, and in particular the cleaning staff, need access vacant changerooms by 9.30pm (and by 9pm on Mondays). If the staff can’t have that access to start their closing-time duties, the DKHAC incurs extra salary costs and those additional costs will be added to TUHA’s bill for the pool hire. This means we will increase pennant registrations fees for our members. Nobody wants that!

And yes, we are well aware that the DKHAC needs to factor in any delays that may have occurred at the beginning of our booked sessions if those delays are the result of slow removal of the lane ropes by their staff.

So PLEASE, PLEASE……
Can everyone make a big effort, on both Wednesday and Monday nights, to exit the centre as soon as possible after completion of the last game.

It’s also a requirement that everyone helps with pack-up, regardless of which Grade has been rostered on pack-up.  If everyone pitches in, it’s a relatively quick process.

And likewise, we ask that everyone helps with set-up to enable start of the first games at 7.15pm on Wednesdays and 7.40pm on Mondays.
