[Uwh-announce] Glove making workshop

Hi Everyone,

This is an update on the glove making workshop.


It looks like the workshop will happen on *Saturday 3rd of August*, just
before we start the second pennant.

(Time to be confirmed – most likely starting around 1pm).

The glove making itself should only take a couple of hours. (Depends how
many layers you want to do on your glove 😊 or how many gloves you would
like to make)

Chris W kindly offered his garage (Glenorchy) for the workshop, so we won't
have to worry about the weather!


*You will need to bring:*


   -

   Base gloves that fit your hand snugly but comfortably (nylon or
   polyester based gloves are probably better than cotton ones) – get several,
   so you have some backup – you will probably want to make more than one as
   the first glove is usually a learning experience 😊
   -

   A plate of yummies to share around, so we can enjoy the drying time even
   more 😊
   -

   We will try to purchase silicone in bulk and just ask you for a few $.


*We will provide:*


   -

   Protective latex/nitrile gloves (in several sizes)
   -

   A range of acrylic paints (we will discuss optimal set of colours for
   uwh gloves)
   -

   Trays for soapy water and for mixing silicone with paint
   -

   Caulking guns
   -

   Crafty sticks and other handy utensils
   -

   Pieces of wood to hold in your hand instead of hockey sticks, while the
   silicone is drying
