Please be aware of planned disruption to traffic on the Tasman Highway in front of the Aquatic Centre.

Bridge Installation - Tasman Highway Closure

The City of Hobart is constructing a bicycle and pedestrian bridge over the Tasman Highway.  To install the bridge span, the Tasman Highway between the Tasman Bridge and Brooker Avenue will be closed from 7 pm Friday 12 October until 6 am Monday 15 October 2018.

The Centre will operate as normal but some traffic delays are to be expected, please allow extra time for travel and follow the signs.

The MS 24 Hour Mega Swim will be held this same weekend, with the swim commencing at 12 noon on Saturday 13 October.  Traffic management plans are in place and the Aberdeen Street doors will be the entrance and exit for competitors after 6pm.

We hope with the advanced notification of the Tasman Highway closure, Centre users have enough time to plan their visit to the Centre during the closure period.
