[Uwh-announce] 2017 Elite Team Schedule and Selections

Hi Everyone,

Following the appointment of the managers in the past fortnight we have now met with them and would like to outline the schedule, costing and details for selection.

2017 Tournament Schedule:
So the elites will be looking to attend an international competition in Hawaii in late September 2017. The tournament will be played in a 3m deep pool, full sized court for the best possible preparation for Canada 2018. Confirmed attendance from Australia, NZ, Canada, USA with interest from Barbarian and Amazon teams as well as Colombian teams. This is a VITAL  preparation for the 2018 world championship and no player should overlook this tournament.

The tournament will be run as cost effectively as possible, managers have put together the below estimate:

The situation with flight equalisation will again be discussed at nationals and within teams following selection to ensure the fairest possible outcome for all involved. The managers will not travel to Hawaii, but will oversee organisation and finances etc.

Selection will be held at nationals at the Gold Coast on the afternoon of Friday 13th January 2017. PLAYERS MUST PAY A $300 DEPOSIT TO THE UHA BANK ACCOUNT TO ELIGIBLE FOR SELECTION. Postal votes will be available as per the usual guidelines.

Training camps will be required to be paid for prior to attendance and NO player will be allowed to travel to the tournament without full payment being made.

ASF will be available for use at this tournament - you will still need to pay your selection deposit.

I have attached the player nomination form and the UHA selector application form. If you could please circulate all this information to your members and interested players, suitable selectors etc that would be appreciated.
