Hi Everyone,
Please see attached roster. Note that this is still a draft, but I'm hopeful that the final version is not far away.
PLEASE NOTE the info below (also written on the roster!).
1. Teams playing first games each night are responsible for setting up their courts. The clock will start at the listed times, so if you don't get set up by then you will be losing time from your game!
2. Captains/teams please note: Where a team is rostered to provide referees*, they must provide FOUR referees. Three in water and one out of water
* One water referee will be rostered on from the Referees Guild in most pennant games, and when the Guild Referee attends, then the team need only supply TWO water referees and the deck referee
* If the Guild Referee comes from the team that is rostered on to provide team referees for the same game, then that team must provide ALL in water referees
* NB. For D grade games, only 2 water referees need to be supplied - and the deck referee
3.
If your team sheet is not filled in PRIOR to your game (listing ALL players who will be playing for you that night), then 1 pt. will be deducted from the team's tally on the ladder
4. Points will be deducted from any team rostered to provide referees, where their refs. Either:
* attend the game more than 1 min. late (forfeit 1pt), or
* fail to turn up entirely (forfeit 2 pts)
5.
If your team sheet is not filled in PRIOR to your game (so that it accurately lists ALL players who will be playing for you that night), then 1 pt. will be deducted from the team's tally on the ladder.
6.
All teams playing last games each night are responsible for removing the goals/walls from their playing courts, and the team listed as the 'packup' team is also responsible for putting these items away.
Please use extreme care when helping with with both pool setup & removal of fittings from the pool, to minimise the risk of damaging either ourselves, or the pool!!!
7. *Duties of out of water referees:
* Ensure the scoresheet for the game has been filled in correctly by both teams at the time the game commences, noting in the comments section if this has not been done
* Record all goals scored against the name of the scorer, during the game
*
Operate the sounding system (if in use), and watch for fouls committed by players at the surface (including substitutions) - stopping the game and advising the in water referees if a foul is observed, and
* Timing the duration of expulsions, in the event any player is ejected from the water by a referee
*
After the game
* ask team captains to name their 2 best players, and record these
*
ask the in water refs. to nominate 3 best and fairest players (3, 2, 1) for the game, and record these
Cheers,
Simon
