[Uwh-announce] Carbon fibre fins - Refs will be checking them

Hi all,
Carbon fibre can be both cool and uncool all at once. Kinda cool
technology, but an uncool weapon.

It has been brought to my attention that there are some less than
satisfactory fins out there. I only know this as we've had feedback from
players who have had to extract bits of carbon fibre from their hip
following Monday night training.

So if you have fins that have the potential to cut or splinter, please
ensure they are safe before tomorrow night. Referees will be checking them,
and they will not hesitate to disallow any fins considered unsafe. Don't
know about you, but according to Richard Cleary, its pretty difficult to
sprint without fins!

See you all poolside

As always:

See you all poolside!
