ATTENTION UNDERWATER HOCKEY COMMUNITY!

taking on the front desk position during the pennant roster?  If so, 
please pass on this advertisement.
 
EXPRESSION OF INTEREST – FRONT DESK OFFICER FOR TASMANIAN UNDERWATER HOCKEY
 
The Tasmanian Underwater Hockey Association 
(TUHA) is seeking expressions of interest to fill the role of Front Desk
 Attendant during our pennant roster.  This position provides an 
important service in support of the underwater hockey community. 
 Duties are as detailed in the job description below. We are seeking 
someone with the following attributes:
 

·       
Good interpersonal skills – you will be the first 
point of contact for the public on game nights and will liaise with all 
players throughout the competition

·       
Good database management skills – you will maintain
 the competition database, ensuring game and player information is up to
 date, and produce relevant supporting documentation and reports

·       
Tech savy and an interest in underwater hockey or a connection to the underwater hockey community would be an advantage.
HOURS OF DUTY
The front desk is staffed each Wednesday night 
during rostered pennant games 7:00pm to 9:30 pm.  The roster runs 
between March and October.
 
REMUNERATION
The successful candidate will be employed on a fee for service basis attracting a rate of $75 per week.
 
APPLICATION PROCESS
Anyone interested in this role should submit an 
expression of interest, including a few points outlining your 
suitability for the role, to the TUHA President at the following email

DUTY LIST – FRONT DESK AT TUWH PENNANT
Player database and team sheets

1.     
Maintain a database of all players

2.     
Print team sheets for each pennant

3.     
Update team sheets to reflect new players and changes to team rosters


4.     
Advise President of team shortfalls so that new recruits can be directed to teams in need

5.     
Ensure players sign in before each game
Competition duties

6.     
Collect score sheets at the end of each game

7.     
Maintain a premiership ladder for each grade (weekly results to be provided to Webmaster for publication)

8.     
Display the ladder on the noticeboard before each pennant round

9.     
Tally votes in both referee and team captain votes 
(compile captains votes and provide to Media Officer in a format 
suitable for publication in local press)

10.  
At the end of each pennant prepare a powerpoint 
presentation of game-by-game best and fairest votes for display at end 
of pennant dinner (summary copy to be provided to Webmaster for 
publication on website)
Selling hockey

11.  
Greet and assist new players – direct ‘walk-ins’ to a committee member for management

12.  
Disseminate flyers and newsletters to pennant players

13.  
Maintain the UWH Tas website and facebook page

14.  
Establish and maintain a noticeboard at each pennant for announcements
Finances

15.  
Advise the president and treasurer of players who are not financial after they have played 4 games

16.  
Collect subs 

17.  
Sell UWH gear (gloves, sticks and caps) – advise the property member when gear is running out

18.  
Electronically bank monies each Thursday and advise treasurer of the breakup of monies for subs (by player name) and gear

General duties

19.  
Maintain the lost/found property bin and post a lost/found property update weekly of the UWH Facebook page

20.  
Other tasks as directed by the president
