[Uwh-announce] Rule of the week-unacceptable language

Hi all,
It has come to my attention that there were a couple of incidents last week where unacceptable language was used.
This isn't on. At all.
As part of promoting underwater hockey as a fun sport, it makes it difficult with profanities being thrown out at volume.
So two things:
If a referee hears unacceptable language feel free to deal with it under the unsportsman like behaviour rule and sin bin them. If its in response to a call where a time penalty has been given, add more time to the sin bin.
We have tried the softly softly approach, but would appear that this isn't working.
So lets see how we go with this approach.
I urge the referees use discretion, and most people have a clear idea of what isn't acceptable.
Bottom line, players are on notice for use of offensive and foul language. Do zo, and get cold for a couple of minutes on the side of the pool.

As always, regardless of what you think of the call, live with it and move on.
