Hi All,
I've been asked by several people about the ruling regarding side subbing in court 1. The following is the current ruling, and must be enforced by the deck ref:

1. Subs are to be sitting out of water . Feet are allowed to be IN the water, provided they are pulled out if play moves into that area
2. Substitution can occur once the side of the pool is touched - however the player who is subbing out must move to get out of the water immediately
3. Individuals with sound reasons as to why they are unable to get out of the water can obtain permission from the deck ref prior to the start of the game to remain in water

As always, feel free to call me or email me with any queries!

Angus Sinclair
Chief referee, TUHA.
