[Uwh-announce] Volunteers needed for Australian Underwater Hockey Championships - Hobart [SEC=UNCLASSIFIED]

Hello all,

CALLING FOR VOLUNTEERS FOR THE AUSTRALIAN UNDERWATER HOCKEY CHAMPIONSHIPS

As you will be aware Tasmania will be hosting the Australian Underwater Hockey Championships next year.  The event, which will be held at the Hobart Aquatic Centre, will run from 24 to 28 January 2013.

We want to make sure this competition is a success and we need as much help as possible in pulling it together.  We are looking for volunteers to help out with time keeping and scoring as well as in water filming for the games.

All volunteers will get a free t-shirt for helping out!

We expect there to be around 23 teams entered which means more than 90 games all up.  A full schedule is being developed but games are expected to run from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm 24-27 January and 8:00 am to 3:00 pm on the 28th.

If you think you're going to be around the pool during the competition, and can give us an hour or two (or more!) of your time we'd love to hear from you.  You don't need to understand all the ins and outs of the game - we will make sure you are appropriately briefed and trained in how to work the equipment.  For the scorers, there will be two per game so you won't be on your own.  If you can't help out yourself please pass this message on to anyone you think might be interested.
