[Uwh-announce] FW: Pool Use

Good morning all. I have just had an agitated Ian Barr on the phone about pool usage. The problem appears to be when players train in full kit (as you should) and swim under other users of the pool. The other swimmers find it intimidating and complain. The below message was forwarded to me and I believe that they would review the agreement (drop our bookings).
The solution presented is that you swim in the designated times (7:30 - 9:30 am) and the pool staff will try to give you a lane to yourself.
I would also suggest checking for quieter times at Clarence as I have had no grief there when training. Glenorchy is also open and a good 50m pool for training.

                Please take this seriously!

We are members of the public, and have rights to pool space but but we are a minority and need to be courteous to other pool users.
Thank you
                Mark

Hi Mark,

As per our conversation this morning I propose the following:

THAC will offer, subject to availability, one or two short course lanes (depending on numbers) for UWH group / team training weekday mornings only from 7.30am - 9.00am in the lead up to your National Championships.

Please note that if any groups wish to flout this offer and continue to commandeer "Public Lap Lanes" during our busiest time, especially when they have been specifically asked not to over a number of years, then THAC will have no choice but to review our User Agreement with the Tasmanian Underwater Hockey Association,

Many thanks and kind regards,

Iain
