Subject: Rule Changes

For the meeting in Portugal. May look large but mostly re writing and adding numbers to all rules. Some new rules had no numbers, and some of new stuff had very poor sequence. USOA would like to see stick color rule changed again and has offered 2 suggestions. Also a new hand signal, and the free subbing rule needed 'and after a penalty shot' added to various places the rule is cited.

I am sending only in English. I can try to get Google to translate if anyone wants?

See attached.  The only one I would personally query is 16.1 (16.1.3 in particular), where in the past the interpretation has usually been that the puck has gone back to the first infringement if the team in possession commits a subsequent infringement of a minor nature (e.g. Accidental!) whilst advantage is being played.

Please circulate to your States asap, and form a 'State opinion. Report this to me, and I will report results to the committee for an UWHA position.

Subject: Request for rule changes?

Hi Everyone,

As usual, at World Championships there is a chance to submit proposals for UWH rule changes.  Generally these are supposed to be submitted 6 month out from Worlds, at least - however this year that has been reduced due to the 'venue' issues that have occurred.

I would appreciate it if you could all circulate this to your States - asking if anyone wishes to submit such a proposal.  Ideally these would reference the section of the current rules you wish to alter, and use the same format for your suggested alteration.

Proposals should be sent to me asap, so that I can circulate them to the States, and then on to other countries if the UWHA committee agrees that they have merit.
