[Uwh-announce] REMINDER + Nationals Finals

Hi All,

Just a reminder for something you all are hopefully fully aware of........NO UNDERWATER HOCKEY THIS WEEK because of the absence of so many of our players at the Nationals.

And speaking of the National Championships,  BIG BIG CONGRATULATIONS to the Tassie Juniors U19 A Team (and Coach Steve Cleary)  who yesterday won the Gold Medal for the Juniors section of the Nationals, defeating Victoria in the Grand Final 5 - 3, and coming through the championships undefeated.  This is a fantastic result!  
Our Tas Juniors B (Development) Team did not do so well on the scoreboard, but their Nationals experience is all about development, and they'll certainly come back improved players, and we should all thank Coach Ian Shanahan for the enormous amount of work he puts into this team.

If I read the results and schedule correctly from the Underwater Hockey Australia website (www.underwaterhockeyaustralia.org.au), the Tassie Women and the Tassie Masters play in their respective Grand Finals tomorrow;  our Women playing NSW and our Masters playing WA.   GOOD LUCK to both those teams !!!!  Go Tassie Go !!
