[Uwh-announce] No uwhockey on Monday and Wed + 3 other things

Hi All,

1. There will be NO underwater hockey this Monday (14th Feb) because of Regatta Day holiday or on Wed 16th because of a unexpected clash with another pool booking and we have been advised by the Aquatic Centre that we are unable to use the pool on that night.
The first session of General Training for 2011 will be on Monday 21st from 7.30 - 8.30pm in Court 1.  And, as you should already be aware, the Pennant season starts on Wed 23rd.

2. The Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Society is holding a 24 hour mega swim at the Aquatic Centre, starting at 12noon on 2nd April.  They are looking for teams or up to 15 people to participate and have invited our Association to join in.  More details can be found at: www.megaswim.com/enter-hobart.asp

3.  On  the night of week 5 of the Pennant, 30 March, we will be holding special, exra-ordinary Association Meeting at the pool during a short break between games to put a motion (exact wording of motion to be circulated soon)  and have a members' vote on a change to the Association's Constitution that, if accepted,  will  'allow' us to have our TUHA Annual General Meetings in July, which has been the traditional timing for our AGMs.  At present we are contravening our Constitution if we hold the AGM in July because, according to the current Constitution, we are supposed to hold the AGM within 3 months of the end of the Financial Year i.e. before the end of March.

4. The Barbarians team (i.e. mixed international & Aust players team) that will be competing at the Nationals next month, are looking for an extra player.
