[Uwh-announce] Call for nominations for State Team Selectors + another call for nominations for Coaches and Team Manager

Apologies for the flood of uwh-announce messages of late but I assure you they are all for good reason. Don't worry, be happy.
 
This is the first call for nominations for State Team selectors. I have copied the relevant TUHA Bylaws below relating to State selectors and the State Team selection process.
You will notice that we are actually behind the recommended schedule of call for nominations for selectors, but as Nationals 2011 are not going to be held until mid-March 2011 (in Canberra), we have plenty of time up our sleeves. Don't worry, be happy.
 
And I this is also another call for nominations for State Coaches and State Teams Manager.
The Coaching positions are:
Mens Team Coach,
Womens Team Coach
Juniors Team Coach
Mens Masters Team Coach
Womens Masters Team Coach (on the assumption there will be entries of Womens Masters Teams for these Nationals)

If we get more than one nomination for any position it will go to the TUHA Committee for a final decision(s). There is also the possibility of Assistant Coaching positions.

We also seek expressions of interest from anyone willing to take on the job as Team Manager. It will require making sure our Teams are properly registered, organising team uniforms, and other things directly related to the Teams themselves. The job of Team Manager is one that could be taken on by a keen parent or shared by a couple of parents of players competing in the Championships. A great way to be involved in Tassie's Nationals campaign !!

If you do wish to nominate for any of the abovementioned positions or wish to put your parent's name forward for Team Manager (after discussing it with him/her/them first !), please let me know asap. We would like to finalise these positions by 30th September.

Extract of relevant TUHA ByLaws:
11.3 State Team Selectors

11.3.1 The TUHA Committee shall advertise a request for nominations for State team selectors in July of each year.

11.3.2 Nominees should provide a curriculum vitae to support their nomination.

11.3.3 For each team, team coaches and the TUHA Committee will choose TWO selectors from the available applicants, with all applicants being notified of the outcome by no later than September.

11.3.4 The selection panel shall consist of THREE people, one of whom is the team coach.

11.3.5 State team selectors must endeavour to watch as many games and training sessions as possible, prior to 'official' selections.

11.5 State Team Selection

11.5.1 The coach will set the selection criteria to be followed by the selectors.

11.5.2 Prior to selection trials, all State team squad members shall be briefed by the team coach on selection criteria for the team.

11.5.3 Where player numbers permit, State team selection trials shall be conducted no later than three (3) months from the date set for the start of the National Championships. A minimum of two selection trials shall be held.

Such trials are to be organised by the State team coaches and advertised at least one month prior to selections.

11.5.4 Any player unable to attend the selection trials may submit a written application for consideration by the Coach/Selectors.

11.5.5 Announcements of State Team composition shall be made by each Coach within one week of the conclusion of the final selection trials.
