Hi All,

A few important things.......

1. Firstly, something many of you already know, but yet to be formally announced..........
   Our Coaches for our State Teams to compete at the Nationals 2011 (to be held in Canberra in March) are as folows:
   Mens Team  -  Nick Martyn
   Womens Team  -  David Lambert
   Masters  Team -  Chris Cleaver
   Juniors (U19) Team -  Steve Cleary
   Juniors Development (U19) Team -   Ian Shanahan

and the Teams Manager is Sandra Milner.

Many, many thanks to all those persons for taking on these roles and we wish all teams the very best for the hard training months ahead.

2.  Pool-entry fee for ALL players on Wednesday nights is now $6.  Apologies for any confusion caused by earlier messages on this. The increase has been necessary to cover increased pool-hire fees.

3. As you are no doubt aware, if you have played on either of the past two Wed nights, we are working with a stand-in timing box.  We are looking at replacement of the other unit (which allowed programming of games to run sequentially all night) as that died, and hopefully will have that in place soon. However, for at least one more week i.e. this evening, we will have to run again with the 'stand-in' unit.   This requires manual start of the timer at the beginning of each game and at the start of 2nd half of each game.  So, please be patient.  We are working as quickly as possible on getting an automated system back into place.

4. At the end of last weeks games there were no less than 3 mask and snorkel sets left lying unclaimed by side of the pool as well as various other bits'n'pieces of gear.  As much as we like the idea of this gear adding to our stocks of school-use gear (which is where they will end up if not claimed by rightful owners), please take a moment after your games to ensure you have all your gear in hand. A lot of these items are expensive to replace. I find it amazing that so many of these valuable bits of gear are left behind !
