[Uwh-announce] gauging interest for Launceston trips in Nov-Dec

Hi all,

Now that some teams have finished the spring pennant and are not 
going on to finals, the committee wants to find out if there are 
enough people keen to get up to Launceston for a few games to support 
Launceston hockey, AND get a few more games in before the end of the 
year. Launceston plays 7-8 pm on a Tuesday night, so any cars going 
up would need to get away by ~4.30 pm to have a sporting chance of 
playing; it would be up to players then whether they stayed on 
overnight, or whether they returned to Hobart after the game. In 
theory, players could be back in Hobart 10-10.30 pm? This opportunity 
is open to all players, from all grades: the form of the games would 
be to divide equally on the night, and ensure a good game for all. We 
see that there is no point pushing this unless there is a groundswell 
of interest. So, can anyone keen to go up this coming Tuesday please 
e-mail Garry.Davidson at utas.edu.au, and he will put you all in contact 
with one another and facilitate contact with the Launceston group. We 
will try advertising this over a few weeks, and see how it goes.
