Hi all memebers,
Two items of note:
AGM
Please note in your calendars that the AGM for TUHA will be held at the
Prince of Wales Hotel on the night of 23rd June at 9pm. (after
completion of the games for that night.)
We encourage everyone to come along to participate and have input into
how your sport is going to be run over the next 12 months.
At the AGM we will be electing a new committee being:
* President
* Vice-President
* Treasurer
* Secretary
* Chief Referee
* Media Officer
* Equipment Officer
* Development Officer
* Social Director
* Newsletter Editor
* Schools Coordinator
* General Committee members
Please think about volunteering for a position on the committee. We
meet once a month and will many hands the workload can be spread out.
Monday Training
There has been much discussion around the running of Monday night's
training sessions and the committee has put forward the following
guidelines:
* Training can only start once the schools competition has
completed. This may be after 8:30 if the pool set-up has been delayed
by lane rope removal. Please be patient.
* Until Nick Martyn's training sessions start in a couple of weeks
court allocations will be:
* Court 3 - High level game for A/B grade players. If
there are too many, organise yourselves into 3 teams or split into 2
groups and move into Court 2
* Court 2 - Mid level game with remaining A/B grade
players and C/D/Beginner players. A good opportunity to practice skills
and share knowledge
* Court 1 - General training and skills
* When Nicks comp is up and running
* Court 3 - Nicks training session (by invitation only)
* Court 2 - training game for all grades - self organise
into 2/3 teams
* Court 1 - General training and skills
NOTE: It is the responsibility of ALL players to assist with pack-up
after training and not leave it to a couple of people every week. Ian
and the Juniors set-up, everyone else should help pack up.
Once Nicks training sessions start it will be the responsibility of his
group to ensure that pack up is completed - but everyone is expected to
pitch in and assist.
Thanks
Glenn Wickham
TUHA Secretary and Public Officer
