Hey there hockey players,

As Craig recently pointed out Monday has become, for lack of a better word
a ‘sh** fight’ though i haven’t been for a few weeks i can certainly
understand this. Luckily after many long hours in the lab, checking
numbers and brewing solutions we have come up with some form of an answer:

Its been in the pipeline for a while, but due to some personal
inconveniences I am only just getting around to it:

Top tier, elite, underwater hockey athlete, pointy end of the competition,
exclusive, inclusive ‘insert more clichés here’ player and game
development.

How will this work?

A select group of ‘senior’ players will, from a group of applicants select
two teams of 8 players who will get ‘exclusive’ use of court 3 on Monday
nights from 8:30 – 9:30. Each player will be selected a backup player,
this is the player they ring and get to come along if they are unable to
attend any particular session. So 16 players playing each night, with 16
players ‘on call’ . There is nothing to stop anyone from playing in court
one or two while all this goes on.

These teams of 8 players will then play for around the next 8 weeks. Then
we reshuffle players etc etc.

So what are we looking for in players?

- Able to listen, adapt and contribute to development of hockey
on both a personal and team level.
- KEEN AS! Needs to show up to a majority of sessions (obviously
sometimes you have to work etc we understand that)
- Able to play at a competitive level

These session will involve more than just jumping in the pool for a muck
around game. There will be some small white board/theory session run by a
variety of different people, some small drill session etc etc.

But mostly this is about keeping the fun in the game, but in a high level
situation.

If you are interested in either being a ‘senior’ player to help with the
development of this program or keen to play or just have any questions or
want to bitch and moan about me turning court three into an ‘exclusive’
game please direct all abuse etc to nmartyn at netspace.net.au a simple email
with your name and position as the subject please.

Do this ASAP as it would be good to have the first session ASAP, 17th
mayish?

Cheers

Nick
