[Uwh-announce] Several IMPORTANT things

Hi All,

Apologies for the length of this email, but all the items below are VERY IMPORTANT:

1)     The Australia vs New Zealand Juniors ANZAC Championships are very close now, with games beginning next Wed 7 July.  Thank you to those of you who have volunteered to help with reffing and time/keeping scoring.
BUT WE NEED MORE VOLUNTEERS.
We need MORE REFS, particularly for Wednesday afternoon 1:30 to 3pm and Thursday morning 8.15 to 12pm. If you are available to do some reffing on any of the days Wed - Fri, and haven't already informed Simon or Sandra, please let me know asap.
And if you are available to help out with time-keeping scoring on any of the days Wed - Fri, please let me know.  For those of you who have already told me you are able to help out with time-keeping/scoring, I would be grateful if you could look at the attached games roster and confirm for what time periods you are available.
Please give thought to supporting this Juniors Comp. It's going to be a great few days of excellent competition with very strong representation by our Tassie players.

The following are relevant to our Seniors Pennant comps:

2)     ALL TEAM CAPTAINS, could you please confirm asap as to whether your team is planning on being part of Pennant 2, which begins on Wed 28 July. And please include your player lists.

3)     The Mid-Year Capt's meetings including draft for each grade will be held on Monday 12th July.  A Grade 6.30pm - 7.15pm, B Grade 7.15pm - 8pm, C Grade 8pm - 8.45pm.  The meeting venue will be the meeting room at the pool (up near the dive pool). All teams are asked to have either your Capt present, or team representative if Capt is unable to attend, regardless of whether your team is going to be seeking draft picks as there will be other issues to be discussed (including new reffing system).

4)     Players who want to nominate for the DRAFTS, please let me know asap, but at latest by COB on Friday 9th July.

5)     We (the TUHA Committee) are still trying to work out a date for the rerun of the AGM. It is likely to be held at the pool on a Wed night early in the new Pennant. Stay tuned on that one.

And a national/international item:

6)     If you have any interest in coaching a team at the international level, a call for nominations for coaches of the Australian Teams has been posted on the Underwater Hockey Australia website (www.underwaterhockeyaustralia.org.au)

And lastly, GOOD LUCK to all teams playing in tonight's GRAND FINALS!!  And remember, the BIG PLASMA SCREEN will be showing all the hot action pool-side!
