[Uwh-announce] Best & Fairest Winners, Pool use for remainder of 2010, and raffle winners

Hi All,

1. As announced at yesterday's Xmas BBQ, the winners and 2nd and 3rd place-getters for Best & Fairest for Pennant 2 - 2010 are:

A Grade: Winner - Nick Martyn (23 votes), 2nd - Richard Lane (22), 3rd - Nathan Whelan (21)

B Grade: Winner - Andy Maver (29), Equal 2nd - Brett Kitchener (19), Equal 2nd - Patrick Meaney (19), 3rd - Olivia Johnson (18)

C Grade: Winner - David Rush (19), 2nd - Kate Thurn, 3rd- Andrew Greenhill (14).

Congratulations to All.

2. Earlier the TUHA Committee indicated that we would retain some General Training time on Monday nights after the completion of the Pennant 2 season. Unfortunately, the combination of increased pool-hire charges and a drop-off in number of players turning up to General Training has necessitated a reduction in our pool hire and the cessation of General Training for the remainder of 2010.
We, the Committee, apologise for this, but we have no choice. We are losing too much money.
State Training will continue on Mon, Wed, and Thurs nights, but reduced to 1 hour (8 - 9pm) sessions on each of those nights.

3. And, the winners of the End-of-Year raffle are:

3rd prize  Nick Findlay
4th prize  John Bamford.
