[Uwh-announce] reffing in the next pennant

Hi all,

The comittee has been contemplating what to do with the reffing system 
since the reffing forum didn't work out as well as was hoped.

We have come up with a new system. Please read through this document. It 
is intended we implement this new reffing system next pennant.
I'd be inclined to think that there's really only 23 people in the 
underwater hockey community (who responded to the reffing forum) who can 
justifiably comment/disagree with this proposal. That said, I don't intend 
to make life difficult for players and referees and I don't think that is 
the intention of this system. The idea of this new system is to get 
everyone to take on some responsibility for reffing, to understand the 
difficulties of the job and to take on some ownership for dealing with 
some of these issues. 

Anyway, constructive feedback to me is welcomed, but I doubt that it will 
change the decision the comittee has made.



I am intending running at least 1 reffing course very soon (early to mid 
May) and more after that if necessary.
