There is a meeting between the pool manager (Lisa Padden) and her Director tomorrow and I will pass on feedback relevant to us.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>The pool managements current position is that anyone training outside our current agreement (doing underwater work on their own) will be asked to leave the centre. This is on health and safety grounds as the pool complex has determined the practice to be unsafe (as have the OH&S and legal team at council).<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>If anyone wishes to read the current laws on OHS&E I can give you a source but needless to say they have tightened up a lot recently. Hockey players will need to contact the Shift Supervisor who will set up a lane for them. We will get a new lane marker made up with FAST LANE HOCKEY TRAING PERMITTED. It is not an exclusive hockey lane, just a fast lane where hockey players can do their underwater training. <o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoListParagraph style='text-indent:-18.0pt;mso-list:l0 level1 lfo1'><![if !supportLists]><span style='font-family:Symbol'><span style='mso-list:Ignore'>·<span style='font:7.0pt "Times New Roman"'> </span></span></span><![endif]>When there are less than 5 lanes available it is up to the discretion of the Shift Supervisor whether or not to make available a lane based on the number of people in the pool.
